Drawer liners

Like I said before, we bought an old house and redid a lot of things. One was our cabinets. We painted them black and I really liked the way they turned out, but the inside of the drawers were still blah. So I decided to spruce them up a bit after seeing a tutorial somewhere (I can't remember).

What you will need:
fabric to fit the bottom of your drawers
liquid fabric starch
scented fabric spray
scissors
double sided tape
iron

I went ahead and got a rough measurement on my drawers so that way I didn't have to starch more fabric than I needed. Put your starch in a bowl (you can dilute it if you want, but I didn't). Soak your fabric, ring out, and lay flat to dry. Once it is mostly dry, spray the ironing spray and iron. Cut your fabric if you need to. Tape your drawers and put the fabric in. :) That's it! Sorry I don't have step by step pictures, but I never planned on posting it, but here is an after pic!

Good luck & happy crafting!

When it rains, it pours.

That saying couldn't be more true. It seems like when one bad thing happens, everything else piles up on top of you. We have been getting random unexpected bills the past month, we are trying to do more home renovations, and tonight to top it all off, we discovered we had a water heater leak. My husband (bless his heart) is no plumber, but he did fix the leak. Then all of a sudden a completely different pipe decided to start leaking. So we are back at ground zero, only now, The Home Depot is closed. That is just our luck. Oh well, it shall wait until tomorrow. I hope I can live with out water until then. Good night all.

For this child I prayed, and the Lord answered my prayer.

For this child I prayed, and the Lord answered my prayer.
1 Samuel 1:27

Prayers do get answered!

We found out Sunday that we are expecting!!! We are so incredibly excited! Jake and I have been trying for a baby for some time now. I have come to realize that God absolutely knows what He is doing. If we had gotten pregnant right away, it wouldn’t have been the right time. I see that now. I am just so happy! I am also scared in some ways. I am just praying for a healthy pregnancy & delivery & baby! I know that the good Lord will get us through anything that comes our way.

I think I am only like 4 weeks along. I go to the doctor Monday. In the mean time, I have already been cleaning like crazy (when I am not napping on the couch). I think it’s because I am always so impatient, and I want my house to be baby ready NOW! Unfortunately, we have a ton of stuff to do before the baby gets here. Luckily, we have 9 months (ha). We plan on putting up sheet rock, putting down carpet, possibly building a bigger closet, and list goes on & on. When we renovated our home, we cut corners and just wanted to get moved in as quick as possible. Now we are having to go back and fix those cut corners.

Hopefully we will get everything done before our little bundle of joy comes. And hopefully I can post the after pictures of our house. I have to take them, upload them, post them, it’s really a long process! Well until next time…
